About Me

Hi, my name is Ray, this page is about me and why I wanted to create this website. Actually the whole website reflects who I am, my beliefs and opinions.

As you can see from the picture, I have been around the block a few times, the wrinkles and grey hair have been well earned. Please don't judge this nut by its shell, the outside may look a little worn but the inside is still full of fun and raring to go.

A little background. I was born and raised in England but I now live in Canada's beautiful Atlantic provinces. When I was 17 I decided to leave home and see some of the world, I love to travel. So far my travels have taken me through all of the British Isles, parts of Europe and all of North America. So I am well experienced in western culture, I still plan to visit South America, Asia and do a walkabout in Australia.

My hobbies and interests include various arts and crafts, music, literature and just having fun. But my main interest is people, who they are, how they live. In my travels I have met and enjoyed the company of people from all walks of life, different ethnic origins and beliefs. I have had coffee with millionaires and shared a bottle of wine with street people. All of them were fascinating, each had their own stories to tell. I really love people they are so interesting.

This website is built around what I have learned from people. I do not have any university degrees or letters after my name, the information comes from the university of life and it does not give out diplomas. I have tried to include practical information and advice to help you succeed. If you would like to add anything please go to Your Thoughts Count.

Is there a difference between successful and unsuccessful people? Most definitely, I have found that success starts from the inside, it is attitude, interest and a passion to really live life. Successful people give out to life as much, usually more, than they take. At first glance this seems backwards but if you look around you will see that it is the person who wants things given to them that fail. Successful people empower others, the power they get back is not taken it is received. Whether it is power, love, respect or anything else you desire you must first give it.

This website is one of my ways to try to give back something for all the wonderful experiences that life has given me. I hope you enjoy it and find it useful to you.
