Your thoughts
Count. From Wendy: Lots to make a person think. It
will take a few visits to get the most from your site.
From JUNE: comment on "There are people so poor that the only thing they
have is money." I wanted to know who said that, and stumbled over your
site...sorry.It doesn't mean
all rich people are cocky, it's about those rich people who only care about
money and not about anything else.Seriously, being
rich isn't EVERYTHING. You should care about more important things. And, yes,
you CAN be too rich. I really liked what you wrote about "sharing your love"
though! From Joosun: Recently I asked myself (for the
millionth time) what I wanted to be in 5 years. I was trying to self-motivate.
Then for some reason I asked myself (for the first time) what I wanted to be in
75 years.
The answers I found formed a new foundation for how I approach life. In short, I
stopped caring about things that didn't matter (career, money, fame, looks,
possessions) and realized that all that mattered were relationships.
I do not want to be alone in a home for oldsters. I want to have lots of friends
and family when I am nearing 100, and most of all I want to be the type of
oldster who has lots to give (wisdom, love, hope, joy) to the younger ones
(children, grandchildren, random children).
So I have begun traveling with my soulmate whom I was lucky enough to have
already found (soon to be engaged), making new friends, putting student loans on
unemployment deferment, and forging ahead in a new life free of the constraints
that society has tried for years to shackle me with.
Thus I was pleasantly surprised when I stumbled upon this website and found a
man similar to one I hope to be one day sharing with me his life. I want to
thank you so much for the store of wisdom, love, hope, and joy you are sharing
with the world. Even if I don't agree exactly with everything you have written
here, it was greatly encouraging just to read your words.
Ray's Comment: There are few people who even look the 5 years. It is great that
you have taken a life view.
Here is a
question from Ogbonnia,
Does your
educational back ground qualify your success? Rays
Comment: Although a good education is nice to have, it does not affect
your success as much as most people believe. If you do a search on the internet
for successful people who did not complete their education you will see that it
is quite an impressive list. A formal education is only needed if you want a
job. What is more important is your passion to succeed, the ability to think
beyond the normal and good communication. As long as you can read and write then
you can learn whatever you need to succeed. Most of our education does not come
from schooling, it comes from living. Your education should never stop, be
interested in life and other people they will teach you everything you need to
know.
